Christopher Morel is headed to Tampa Bay as part of a big – and surprising – trade that brought Isaac Paredes to Chicago.

Morel was in the lineup Sunday afternoon for the Cubs’ series finale in Kansas City, DHing and hitting 5th in the order.
After news of the move circulated on Twitter, Morel was removed from the Cubs’ lineup and replaced by Michael Busch.
Morel responded by hugging teammates and coaches in the Cubs dugout.

Busch ended up getting 2 hits and driving in a run as the Cubs won 7-3 to claim the series victory in Kansas City.
