Troy Aikman thinks Bears should go ‘all in’ and trade for Kyle Shanahan as next head coach
With all eyes looking towards who will be coaching the Chicago Bears in 2025, there’s been chatter about how the franchise can go about getting their new head coach.
And Troy Aikman weighed in on a possible trade route to get current San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shananhan during the Monday night broadcast of the Bears’ 30-12 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on ESPN.
“There has been discussion about, ‘Do you give up some picks and see if you can maybe make a deal for a guy like Kyle Shanahan?’ I would be all in on that. Because he would develop a quarterback and is a hell of a head coach,” Aikman said in the broadcast.
Regardless of whether or not the Bears acquire their new head coach through a trade, whoever takes over should have a high developmental focus on quarterback Caleb Williams and his trajectory in the NFL.
