Trio of Bears not traveling with team to London, including key defender
CHICAGO – The Bears announced that starting safety Jaquan Brisker will not be traveling with the team to London on Monday evening in advance of their Week 6 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to a concussion.
It’s ultimately uncertain when Brisker suffered the injury, but he was involved in a violent collision with Panthers Tommy Tremble, which resulted in a forced fumble that the Bears recovered. Tremble was concussed on that play and did not return. Brisker finished the game.
Brisker self-reported concussion-like symptoms this afternoon and was then diagnosed with a concussion.

It’s also important to note that Brisker has not been formally ruled out against the Jaguars. If he clears the NFL’s concussion protocol, it’s possible that he could fly to London later in week and play in Week 6. Time will tell on that front.
Chicago also announced that defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin) and defensive back Terrell Smith wouldn’t be traveling with the team to London on Monday evening.
Brisker has been a force in the secondary thus far this season, with 40 tackles (including three for a loss), a sack, a forced fumble and an interception in five games. Kyle Hicks is listed as the reserve safety behind Brisker, meaning he could see significant time if the three-down starter can’t go.
