Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported that the Chicago Bears have requested to interview Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich for their head coaching job.
Stenavich has been with the Packers organization since 2019, the same year that current head coach Matt LaFluer was hired. He was hired as the offensive line coach, a position he held for the 2019 & 2020 seasons. In 2021, he added run game coordinator to his title and made the leap to offensive coordinator in 2022, a position he still holds currently.
During his tenure as OC – which had quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love under center – the Packers averaged 23.8 points per game, 10th best in the NFL. However, It’s important to note that Stenavich does not call plays; head coach Matt LaFluer does.
A graduate from the University of Michigan, Stenavich was on NFL practice squads for parts of five seasons from 2006-2010. He held offensive line coaching positions at Northern Arizona, San Jose State and withthe San Francisco 49ers before joining Green Bay.
Stenavich marks the 20th candidate the Bears have requested to interview.
