Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown had strong reaction to Bears’ free agency moves
If you feel the Bears are spending a lot of money on quality free agents, you are not alone.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown feels the same.
“I feel like the Bears have unlimited (expletive) money,” the Pro Bowl wide receiver said on The St. Brown Podcast. “Jonah Jackson. Bang. Drew Dalman. Bang. Dayo … a crazy amount of money. Grady Jarrett. Bang. They’re just breaking everybody off. They got unlimited money.”

Unfortunately for Bears fans, the team does not have an unlimited amount of money to spend. They do, however, have a clear vision for where they want to improve this offseason:
The trenches.
“They’re trying to get an O-line for Caleb,” former Bears wide receiver and podcast co-host Equanimeous St. Brown acknowledged.
The Bears left the NFL Scouting Combine with roughly $79 million in cap space. After acquiring guards Jonah Jackson and Joe Thuney last week via trades, Chicago was left with $42.4 million in cap space.
During the NFL’s open negotiating window on Monday, Poles and the Bears agreed to terms with 3 players who will make a living by protecting or getting to the quarterback.
Center Drew Dalman was the first player the Bears agreed to terms with on Monday. The veteran center agreed to a three-year deal worth $42 million, with $28 million guaranteed, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
A few hours later, free agent defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo and Chicago came to agreement on a three-year, $48 million contract with $32 million guaranteed, per Rapoport.
Finally, the Bears sought out DT Grady Jarrett after he was released on Monday morning by the Atlanta Falcons. The two-time Pro Bowler’s deal is for three years worth $43.5 million total, $28.5 million of that is guaranteed, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Each player the Bears agreed to terms with was on a three-year deal. Marquee Sports Network’s Bears Insider Scott Bair pointed out on the ‘Bears on the Marquee Podcast’ that each deal aligns with when quarterback Caleb Williams would first be eligible for a contract extension.
