Montez Sweat among Bears inactives vs. Cardinals
GLENDALE, Ariz. — Bears edge rusher Montez Sweat is not available for Sunday afternoon’s contest against the Arizona Cardinals.
The star edge rusher was designated as questionable with a shin injury, following a practice week where he was limited. Sweat suffered the injury last week against Washington, when he got hit hard in the leg by a cleat. He ultimately wasn’t ready for game action.

Not having him available is a big deal, especially when facing Kyler Murray. The Arizona quarterback is mobile, with a big arm and is currently on a hot streak. Expect to see more of Darrell Taylor and Jacob Martin off the edge.
The Bears will play a second straight game without slot cornerback Kyler Gordon, who is unavailable due to a hamstring injury.
The good news for Chicago from inactives news is that left guard Teven Jenkins (knee) will start after being questionable heading into the game. Larry Borom is expected to start at left tackle with Braxton Jones out. He was activated off injured reserve on Saturday.
