‘Marquee Sports Network Community Showcase’ to feature local high school football matchups produced and broadcasted by students at each respective high school;
Student broadcasters will have the opportunity to learn from Marquee Sports Network talent and executives through series of monthly workshops

CHICAGO – Marquee Sports Network today announced a series of student-produced high school football matchups to air live on Marquee Sports Network and the Marquee Sports Network App beginning Friday, September 6. The Marquee Sports Network Community Showcase presented by Wintrust Community Banks will feature seven premiere high school football matchups in September and October.

Each game will be produced and broadcasted by students at the respective home schools, allowing each school to showcase not only their football team, but their talented student broadcasters and media departments.

In addition to the Community Showcase matchups, Marquee Sports Network is partnering with Wintrust Community Banks to spearhead two additional initiatives to highlight and inspire the next generation of athletes and broadcasters, including:

• Marquee Sports Network Community Broadcast Workshops, giving students involved in the broadcast productions at each participating school the opportunity to join monthly workshops with Marquee Sports Network producers, directors and on-air talent to hone their craft and learn more about careers in sports broadcasting.
• Marquee Sports Network Community Athlete of the Week, recognizing a prep football athlete at one of the participating schools who is excelling on and off the field, including recognition through network programming and on social and digital platforms.
