Ian Happ joins First Tee, Chicago Park District at groundbreaking event
Ian Happ can’t wait for the new Waveland Clubhouse to open.
First Tee – Greater Chicago and the Chicago Park District, along with Happ, broke ground on a new kids clubhouse that will benefit First Tee and allow more children from different backgrounds to build resilience and character as they learn the game of golf. Happ, an avid golfer, looks forward to supporting the work of First Tee and doing so with a facility so close to Wrigley Field.
So happy to be a part of this project and help spread the word for this great organization!! @FirstTeeChicago https://t.co/FbLsBPUoLp

“The fact that this facility is going to be so close to Wrigley is awesome for me,” Happ said. “I can’t wait to be a part of the programming, I can’t wait to be a part of trying to make an impact in these kids’ lives. It’s really cool that this facility is going to be able to house more kids, it’s going to be able to extend the impact and it’s just one of many.
“It’s the start of something really special. My family and I are happy to commit $10,000 to the effort and we’re just really excited to continue our support of the First Tee.”
