As the Cubs and Major League Baseball celebrate Jackie Robinson Day on Friday, take a look back at how Robinson inspired young Black ballplayers across the country, including Ernie Banks, Hank Aaron and Charley Pride. The three individuals are featured in the Marquee Sports Network film ‘More Than Mr. Cub: The Life of Ernie Banks’, which remembers the legacy of Banks.

MLB recognizes Jackie Robinson Day each year on April 15, but due to COVID-19, in 2020 the celebration was moved to August 28.
