How do Cubs players pick restaurants on road trips?
When it comes to road trips in the big leagues, where the players go out to eat is an important decision.
Thankfully for the Cubs, they have a food connoisseur amongst the pitching staff in Jameson Taillon.
When asked who is the player that most often picks where the team eats on the road, many of the Cubs players – including Miguel Amaya, Nico Hoerner, Kyle Hendricks, Ian Happ and Justin Steele – answered Taillon.
“Jameson Taillon, and he does a hell of a job doing it,” said Steele.
As Taillon spoke on the matter, he made it clear that he does not take the task lightly.
“That’s a very serious responsibility,” he said. “If you’re gonna take younger guys out and you want to show them a city that you like or show them a restaurant you like, not only do you have to pick the right restaurant but you have to order the right things to make sure everyone is taken care of.”
When you eat well, you play well and thanks to Taillon, the Cubs have encountered no problems eating well.
