Fan had a one-in-a-million day at the ballpark Sunday for Cubs-Cardinals showdown

One fan had quite the day at the ole ballpark Sunday afternoon in St. Louis for the Cubs-Cardinals game.

A fan sitting in the left field bleachers – wearing neither Cubs nor Cardinals gear – happened to catch BOTH of Christopher Morel’s home runs in the Cubs’ 8-3 win over the Cardinals.

The Cubs hit 6 homers in the win and Morel notched his first multi-homer game of his career.

It was quite the game for the Cubs to head into the All-Star Break on as they put the finishing touches on a 5-2 road trip.

One of the main issues for the Cubs in the first half of the season was an underperforming offense, particularly in the slugging department. That wasn’t the case Sunday as Pete Crow-Armstrong joined Morel with his own multi-homer game and Ian Happ and Tomás Nido each chipped in a blast.
