‘Cubs Live!’ earns Chicago/Midwest Emmy for Live Sports Program
Marquee Sports Network also recognized for Outstanding Achievement for Sports Documentary

CHICAGO – Marquee Sports Network this past weekend earned two Chicago/Midwest Regional Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Achievement for Live Sports Program (Cubs Live!) and Outstanding Achievement for Sports Documentary (Buck O’Neil: It’s All Jazz).
This marks the third-straight year Marquee Sports Network has been honored for Outstanding Achievement for Live Sports Program, following Road to Wrigley in 2023 and Cubs Live! in 2022. Marquee Sports Network has received the Emmy for Sports Documentary in each of the last four years, recognizing The Remarkable Life of Ron Santo (2023), Glory and Grief: The Ferguson Jenkins Story (2022) and Mayor of Rush Street (2021).
Since launching in February of 2020, the network has now received 11 Chicago/Midwest Regional Emmy Awards, as well as 41 nominations.

Cubs Live! – Outstanding Achievement for Sports Single Program/Series – Live
Cubs Live! was recognized for Outstanding Achievement for Live Sports Program, recognizing Marquee Sports Network’s extensive pregame and postgame coverage surrounding live Chicago Cubs games. Buck O’Neil: It’s All Jazz – Outstanding Achievement for Sports Documentary
In 2023, Marquee Sports Network premiered an hour-long feature highlighting the life and legacy of one of baseball’s all-time great ambassadors, Buck O’Neil. Narrated by comedian and Cubs fan Roy Wood Jr., the documentary features archival interviews with Buck O’Neil, as well as exclusive interviews with Bob Kendrick, president of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Joe Posnanski, author of The Soul of Baseball, baseball documentarian Ken Burns, and Cubs legends including Lee Smith and Billy Williams.
