Kyle Hendricks joined Jon “Boog” Sciambi, Jim Deshaies and Taylor McGregor during Sunday’s season finale against the Reds to recap an incredibly emotional day.

The 11-year veteran joined the broadcast and shared some of the players that reached out to him — including former teammates Kris Bryant, Javy Báez, Kyle Schwarber, Willson Contreras, Anthony Rizzo and David Ross — after Saturday’s game. Hendricks discussed his favorite games, his relationship with pitching coach Tommy Hottovy.

Hendricks tossed 7.1 scoreless innings against the Reds in what could be his final appearance as a Cub. Hendricks was taken out of the game by Hottovy, who has been with Hendricks for practically his entire career.
