Marquee Sports Network has partnered with local high school and colleges for the Marquee Sports Network Community Showcase! Tune in all Fall and Winter for local IHSA boys and girls basketball games, plus amateur hockey games, including matchups from the Scholastic Hockey League and American Collegiate Hockey Association. The Community Showcase began earlier this Fall with a series of seven premier high school football matchups in the Chicagoland area.

High School Basketball – Marquee Sports Network to air nine IHSA high school basketball matchups beginning in January, including girls and boys high school basketball contests. Schools scheduled to host matchups on Marquee Sports Network include Prospect, Stevenson, Fenwick, Lane Tech, Niles North, Deerfield, Brother Rice and Saint Patrick.
[VIEW HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL SCHEDULE]
Scholastic Hockey League (SHL) – Marquee Sports Network to air three SHL games (Illinois high school hockey) across December and January, featuring host schools Saint Viator and Glenbrook North.
American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) – Marquee Sports Network to air nine ACHA games, featuring local club teams including the University of Illinois, DePaul University and Indiana University.
Chicago Wolves Local Hockey Showcase – Marquee Sports Network to air five games from the Chicago Wolves Local Hockey Showcase at Allstate Arena, including four high school games and an ACHA matchup between Northwestern and Purdue.

As part of the Community Showcase, all games (excluding Scholastic Hockey League and Chicago Wolves showcase games) will be produced and broadcasted by students at the respective home schools, allowing each school to showcase not only their on-the-field product, but their talented student broadcasters and television departments.

This week’s community athlete of the week is Noah Easter, a senior running back at Prospect High School.
Easter is the Knights’ top rusher, averaging 115 rushing yards per game, and has recorded 14 rushing touchdowns on the year. In week 7, Noah recorded 19 carries for 144 yards and 3 TD’s, his best game this season. Off the field, Easter stays involved in his community by volunteering at local youth camps, and attending Ebony club.
As part of the Marquee Sports Network Community Showcase football broadcasts this Fall, each home school broadcasting the game had the opportunity to air a 3-minute feature during halftime! See below for the High School features that aired in 2024.
The Community Athlete of the Week for September 6 is Conner Stack, a senior football captain at Brother Rice High School. A four-year member of the football and baseball programs, Stack last year was the defensive player of the year for both football and baseball, and earned CCL Blue All-Conference for football. Off the field, Conner is President of the Student Council and has taken an active role with the non-profit Christmas Without Cancer, helping to collect pairs of shoes for families in need.
The Community Athlete of the Week for September 20 is Nathan Whitwell, a senior running back at Batavia High School. Whitwell recorded 301 yards with five touchdowns through the season’s first two games and is on track to become a 1,000 yard rusher for his career later this season. Whitwell is also a high school state qualifier in track & field sprint relays and 100 meters. Off the field, Nathan is an entrepreneurship partner for a local start-up and the leader of the Bulldog Moving Company, helping local charities and citizens in need of assistance.
The Community Athlete of the Week for September 27 is Quinn Schimanski, a senior linebacker and running back at Deerfield High School. In his junior year, Schimanski earned all-conference honors after recording 1,019 rushing yards and 307 receiving yards for the Warriors. Outside of football, Schimanski holds a 3.8 GPA and is a starter on the Deerfield Varsity Basketball team.
The Community Athlete of the Week for October 10 is Griffin Suren, a senior tight end and linebacker at Stevenson High School. Outside of football, Griffin is a mentor for the Stevenson Freshman Mentor program, a National Honor Society member and participated in the North Suburban Conference Leadership Workshop.
The Community Athlete of the Week for October 11 is Marty Mann, a senior tight end at Mount Carmel High School. Outside of football, Marty is the Mount Carmel Student Body Vice President, a Media Group Color Commentator, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
The community athlete of the week for October 18 is Evan Parker, a senior on the cross country and track teams at Niles North High School. Parker was an all-state cross-country runner in 2023 and is currently ranked #2 in the state. One of Niles North’s top runners, Evan holds multiple Vikings records in cross-country and track. Outside of sports, Evan holds an impressive 4.6 GPA and is a member of the Niles North All-State Debate team
