Chicago Sky trade Dana Evans for a pair of draft picks

4 months agoStaff Report

The Chicago Sky have traded guard Dana Evans to the Las Vegas Aces for the 2025 No. 16th pick and No. 22 pick of the WNBA draft.

Evans was named to the All-Rookie team back in 2021 where she was drafted by the Dallas Wings before being traded to the Sky in June 2021. In 2024, she played in 39 games, averaging 19.1 minutes a game with 7.2 points and shooting 37.7%.

Following the Evans trade, the Sky now have 4 draft picks in the 2025 WNBA draft, including the No. 3 draft pick and No. 10 draft pick.

The Sky have made moves in free agency, signing two guards in Kia Nurse and have brought back former guard Courtney Vandersloot as well as acquiring forward Rebecca Allen from the Phoenix Sun via trade.

As the Sky continue to bolster their squad ahead of the 2025 season, general manager Jeff Pagliocca and head coach Tyler Marsh have their roster currently at 9 players as they hope to set their eyes on the future.
