Chicago Red Stars roll out new name, crest

The Chicago Red Stars have undergone a complete rebrand as the 2024 campaign nears its end.
Moving forward, the organization will be known as Chicago Stars Football Club and it also unveiled a new crest:
“As the stewards of this club, Laura Ricketts, the ownership group and the leadership team believe it is time to evolve our identity as a symbol of this new chapter,” Chicago Stars FC president Karen Leetzow said in a statement. “It is our intent going forward to honor the legacy made by past players, fans and associates, while carving a new path for the club and representing Chicago more authentically on and off the pitch.”
The team was originally named the “Red Stars” during its inception in 2009 as a tribute to the four red stars on the Chicago city flag.
