LAKE FOREST, Ill. — There’s at least a chance that Bears receivers Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen play Sunday night’s Week 2 contest against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium.
They were given questionable designations on the team’s official injury report, which was announced on Friday afternoon. Odunze is dealing with a sprained MCL suffered against the Titans.
Allen has been dealing with a heel issue since the preseason’s later stages.
“It was just something that happened in training camp with the heel,” Eberflus said, regarding Allen’s injury. “Yeah, that was really it. It’s been progressing and then it took a step back. We just wanted to give it some rest. That’s really what the idea this week was, just to rest and let it heal and let it feel good so we’re able to move and cut and do the things he does.”

Eberflus said that the playing status of both receivers will go all the way up until game time, including a pregame warmup.
In terms of what the Bears will be looking for regarding Odunze, Eberflus mentioned “movement and acceleration and him being him. That’s it.”
Defensive lineman DeMarcus Walker was also considered questionable with a foot injury.
Fullback Khari Blasingame (hand/knee) and offensive lineman Ryan Bates (shoulder/elbow) were ruled out of Sunday’s game.
Defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin) will be available after missing the season opener.
