Why Bears QB Caleb Williams was seen with wrap on throwing hand
Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is in Los Angeles for this early portion of the offseason, and attended Saturday’s USC men’s basketball game against Wisconsin to support his school. He was shown on the Big Ten Network broadcast in courtside seats, wearing an apparent cast on his right wrist and hand.

Any injury to a franchise quarterback’s throwing hand raises an eyebrow, but league sources said it’s nothing the Bears are concerned about. Williams had a minor elective procedure, which is why he was wearing a protective element. He’ll be fine.
In terms of the exact nature of the procedure, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Williams had a cyst removed from his right hand.

That’s good news for the Bears and their fans, who surely want their franchise quarterback fully healthy and available for offseason training.
The Bears are currently in the midst of a coaching search, looking for the next head coach to lead Williams and the storied Chicago franchise toward better results. Williams made strides during his first season as the team’s signal caller. He has a checklist of things he’d like to work on this offseason, and this minor situation doesn’t seem like it’ll prevent him from working on everything he’d like to over the course of an important offseason.
Part of that will be learning a new offensive system brought in by a new head coach or his offensive coordinator, individuals who will be hired in the coming weeks.
