Bears injury report: Teven Jenkins ruled out, Gervon Dexter questionable vs. Seahawks
The Bears will play without the left side of their offensive line, a big blow to their chances of winning Thursday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Left tackle Braxton Jones was placed on injured reserve Friday with an ankle/leg fracture and is done for the year. Interim head coach Thomas Brown held out hope for better news on left guard Teven Jenkins, but he was officially ruled out with a calf injury Wednesday on the team’s official injury report.

While it’s ultimately uncertain who will start at left tackle, Larry Borom could be first off the bench. Kiran Amegadjie has been a starting option at left tackle and could own that spot again, though he was a healthy scratch in a Week 16 loss to the Detroit Lions. Jake Curhan has filled in well for Jenkins in the past, and should take over at the left guard spot.
The Bears also ruled safety Elijah Hicks, running back Travis Homer and defensive back Tarvarius Moore out of this game with injury.
Defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. was designated as questionable with a knee injury which has kept him out the last two games. Getting him back would be a huge boon for the interior defensive line, which has missed his presence as a pass rusher. Reserve interior offensive lineman Doug Kramer and linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga were also considered questionable on the team’s injury report.
