Bears injury report: Braxton Jones, Teven Jenkins, Jaylon Johnson among those questionable to play Lions

LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Left tackle Braxton Jones and left guard Teven Jenkins were designated as questionable to play the Detroit Lions in Week 16, the Bears announced on their Friday injury report.
Jenkins was limited after two practiced missed, creating the prospect that he could play on Sunday against the NFC North leaders. Jones was a full participant for a second day, but hasn’t formally been cleared from the concussion protocol to play in game action.

Interim head coach Thomas Brown doesn’t give away much regarding injuries, and he didn’t tip his hand about anyone who may or may not play the upcoming game at Soldier Field.
Defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. was also questionable with a knee injury after missing the last two games, and cornerback Jaylon Johnson popped up on the injury report as questionable with an illness.
Running back Travis Homer suffered a hamstring injury on Friday and is now doubtful to play.
Interior offensive lineman Ryan Bates will missed another game while in the concussion protocol
Roschon Johnson returns after missing two games with a concussion. That’s a huge benefit for the Bears offense, which missed their short-yardage back in a big way near the goal line and on failed fourth-down situations.
Edge rusher Darrell Taylor will also be back after suffering a shoulder injury against Minnesota that prevented him from finishing the game.
