Keenan Allen and Jaylon Johnson are having quite the battle in Bears camp
After the first week of the preseason, position battles and 1-on-1s begin to take shape as the start of the 2024 NFL season is upon us.
It’s clear that one of the strongest competitions in Bears camp is between two Pro Bowl players: wide receiver Keenan Allen and cornerback Jaylon Johnson.
Keenan Allen, a 6-time Pro Bowl wide receiver who’s entering his 12th season, was acquired in the trade this offseason from the Los Angeles Chargers to be a key contributor in the passing game with DJ Moore, Cole Kmet, 9th overall draft pick Rome Odunze and 2024 1st overall draft pick, Caleb Williams.

On the defensive side of the ball is 5th-year cornerback Jaylon Johnson, who received a contract extension in the offseason and was voted to his first Pro Bowl in 2023.
During the second episode of “HBO’s Hard Knocks” which aired Tuesday night, the two Pro Bowlers faced off in 1-on-1s as they showed off their competitive spirit.
