2025 NFL mock draft: Bears go with Georgia pass rusher at No. 10 overall

So much Chicago’s focus these days is on the Bears coaching search. Rightfully so.

That hire will be as key as any in recent franchise history, but it’s not the only important one on the horizon.

The Bears have some quality NFL draft capital, starting with the No. 10 overall pick and plenty of needs to fill with young players.

We’ve got the significant portions of the first-round draft order set, so let’s do what will be the first of oh, so many mock drafts here at Marquee Sports Network. But, because it’s so insanely early, we’ll only take you through the Bears pick at No. 10. Some of these selections are well telegraphed. Others will fluctuate considerably as we work through the pre-draft process.

1. Tennessee Titans: QB Cameron Ward, Miami

  • The Will Levis experiment sure seems to be over, and the Titans go with Ward over Shedeur Sanders in what will be a tough decision this spring.

2. Cleveland Browns: QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado

  • Cleveland’s math changes some with Deshaun Watson expected to miss the entire season. Sanders is pro ready right now, as the Browns try to make up for the Watson disaster.

3. New York Giants: CB Travis Hunter, Colorado

  • The Giants really need a quarterback, but there isn’t one worthy of No. 3 overall right now, so they take the best overall player in the draft. Falling outside the top 2 was a real blow for Big Blue.

4. New England Patriots: OT Will Campbell, LSU

  • Gotta protect Drake Maye. It’s that simple, so the Pats take a solid, consistent offensive lineman. Smart, safe pick.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: DL Mason Graham, Michigan

  • The Jaguars need true impact players all over their defense and they need quite a few of them, so they’re in premium-talent-over-need mode. Graham can be central part of a defensive overhaul.

6. Las Vegas Raiders: CB Will Johnson, Michigan

  • The Raiders need a quarterback so bad, but they dropped down the draft board with two wins in the last three weeks. The first thought is that the Raiders go for a receiver high, but they make a smarter play and add a cornerback who could be a lockdown guy.

7. New York Jets: OT Kelvin Banks, Texas

  • The Jets need a quarterback, but they’ll have to protect him. Banks has the athleticism to play well in the modern NFL and could help the Jets right away.

8. Carolina Panthers: EDGE Abdul Carter, Penn State

  • We saw how dominant Carter can be during the college football playoff. Carolina needs a dominant force off the edge. The Penn State alum could be that as a rookie. He’d be a steal at No. 8.

9. New Orleans Saints: WR Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona

  • The Saints must continue to add to their receiver corps, especially with someone who could be a complete receiver at the NFL level. The Saints need defensive line help here as well, but McMillan’s too good to pass up.

10. Chicago Bears: EDGE Mykel Williams, Georgia

  • Offensive linemen are typically attached to the Bears at No. 10, but both top tackles are off the board and, honestly, the Bears can survive with Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright. What they need are guards who eat nails for breakfast and a super-smart guy at center. Interior offensive linemen are rarely taken this high, so the Bears go with a premium position and someone who can provide a threat rushing the passer opposite Montez Sweat.
