The Bears’ slide continues as they dropped their 8th straight game Monday night against the Vikings.

However, it didn’t end up netting the Bears a better draft selection as they remained in the No. 9 slot (the same position they held entering the week).

Here is the NFL Draft order at the moment, coming out of Week 15 (h/t Tankathon.com):

3. New England Patriots (3-11)
4. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-11)
5. Carolina Panthers (3-11)
6. Tennessee Titans (3-11)
7. Cleveland Browns (3-11)
8. New York Jets (4-10)
9. Chicago Bears (4-10)
10. New Orleans Saints (5-9)
11. Miami Dolphins (6-8)
12. Indianapolis Colts (6-8)

The major movement occurred behind the Bears in the order, as teams like the Dolphins and Colts are now inside the Top 12 by virtue of their respective losses in Week 15.

With only 3 weeks remaining in the season, the Bears are 2 games “up” on the Dolphins and Colts which essentially means Ryan Poles is a near-lock to draft in the Top 10 again next spring.

The Bears may be done playing the Vikings but things won’t get any easier moving forward.

They return home to Soldier Field next week to host the 12-2 Lions who are hungry coming off their first loss in 3 months and now need to fight hard to secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Then comes the 8-6 Seahawks on a short week in a Thursday night game before closing out the 2024-25 slate with a game against the 10-4 Packers at Lambeau Field.

It’s very possible the Bears don’t win another game this season and finish the year on an 11-game losing streak.

However, their strength of schedule isn’t doing them any favors in the draft order as it will serve as a tiebreaker with any other teams boasting the same record.

Tiebreakers for draft order are: strength of schedule, division tiebreakers, conference tiebreakers and interconference tiebreakers.
