103-year-old Sister Jean throws out first pitch at Wrigley Field
Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt may be 103 years old, but the Chicago icon is still performing incredible feats for the area’s athletic teams.
The Loyola University basketball chaplain threw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field Tuesday night before the Cubs hosted the Phillies.

Sister Jean rose to prominence during the 2018 NCAA Tournament as the Ramblers advanced to the Final Four.
Loyola also advanced to the Sweet 16 in the 2021 tournament with Sister Jean once again in the national spotlight.
She has been at Wrigley Field several times over the last few seasons, including April of 2018:
